"Rock is dead!" opined Pete Townshend in the mid '70s. Apparently not so; the summer 2015 edition was very much alive. Prism's Canadian tour started July 17 in their home province of BC, headlining the SSB Festival in Sicamous, then travelling with colleagues Honeymoon Suite and Doucette along the concert trail, shows with old friends Trooper, who featured Al Harlow and Tad Goddard for onstage sing-alongs on a couple of shows in Medicine Hat and Saskatoon's Rock the River festival, where the Stampeders and Kim Mitchell also performed. The backstage comraderie among the bands was as warm as the stage lights. By the time Prism hit the boards for the final show of the season with Headpins in Hope, BC, the mid-September question was, "when was the last time we played indoors?"
Fifteen thousand fans and an artillery of Canadian classic rock bands know that rock was still alive and well this summer...
